JCI Leipzig maintains a large number of twinning partnerships. Leipzig has – along with Frankfurt, Lyon, Budapest, Birmingham and Turku – multi-twinning status. Every year one of the six partner towns hosts a meeting for all partners to allow for mutual exchange and to get more familiarly acquainted with the other partner towns.

Our members come from many different sectors and as members of the JCI Leipzig, we receive exclusive insights into businesses in the region on company visits. Thanks to these special privileges, we have already been able to take a look behind the scenes at BMW, Leipzig/Halle Airport, DHL, Vita 34 and Sternburg brewery.
A particularly entertaining charity event is our annual participation in the night-time flea market at Kohlrabizirkus. Our members are called on before hand to ‘have a clean out for a good cause’ and the donated things are then sold to raise money for our partner school, St. Mary’s School, in India.
Since 2012, we have also been able to successfully establish the Book Collection in Leipzig with the support of the Junior Chamber International Frankfurt. On the last day of the international Spring Book Fair, this event sees book donations being collected from the exhibiting publishers in support of Leipzig’s school libraries.
